    Maybe I’m wrong.

I know some came with a series 55. But that wasn’t a very popular option and I don’t think they were that dependable.

so you could go that route. That little WIA I posted with a C model cat for only 5500 is worth a look.

Yeah, I think the 55 is sort of a turd?

    Those #### WIA's..
Seems I can't open my eye without see'n one lately..

I love the WIA's, but truck parts can be tough to source, and expensive. But for that price....

Might be hard to go wrong.

What were the 55's? I don't guess I remember them, just the 50's..Maybe I'm misremembering....not many of them either. Mostly in yard trucks

Be honest I never seen a series 55 in person? Google says 12L 365-400hp "problem child" engine..

There is also a Series 40 based off the DT466 as well..

You got sumthin to be proud of get'n that ISX sorted out Amigo.!

I know she ain't everyone's brand a booze, but I'm an FLD guy, & have really enjoyed run'n Peaches the last 5yrs,, until this dry box work...

She pulls a skate & step just fine imo, but that heavy box sucks..

So again the same old question that I'm now forced to actually make a decision..

    Rebuild
if possible, the block may be trashed?

    Higher horse M11/ISM repower?

    Cat C12 maybe C13 repower?

Get another "new" 30+ yr old truck & start over from scratch?

Got a case of analysis paralysis..

Jeez, you guys must rent an extra section at each end to turn that thing around and get it lined out in the next field to work.

Truck prices are still reasonable right now from what I'm seeing. That may change though pretty soon with freight rates up.

Might be time to grab another
