Hello, I’ve had my cdl for 10 years and recently got my endorsements and have one year of tanker experience. My question is I’ve thought about hauling fuel but I know to expect nights/weekends…I have an opportunity with Dana Transport for $30 per hr with OT after 40. Monday-Friday with a shift of 6a-5p give or take an hour. Only do like two loads a day delivering full trailers. Only two company drivers at this particular terminal and 3 owner ops. Not a bad gig? Or should I suck it up and get into fuel lol this is the Massachusetts area fyi

Its best to get on with a private carrier for fuel hauling. But if that's not an option in your area. Then go after the better 3rd party carriers. You can ask around your town or catch a driver while they are unloading at a store. And find out what outfits are worth while.

Those hourly jobs with OT are usaully the best, also Dana,a good company.

Most all of the fuel jobs are hourly near me as well. More money but again have to work nights and weekend. I’ve heard fairly good things about Dana as well and the schedule is great. Have heard they don’t give raises often, though

30 an hour doesn’t seem like much to haul fuel. I was almost making that driving a packmaster garbage truck.

Rugerfan Thanks this.

That’s for Dana transport which doesn’t haul fuel. Other liquids like chemicals and candle wax that sort of thingJForce28 Thanks this.

Probably a pretty simple job if I had to guess. I’d the wage is good for your area then I’d take it. That’s a solid schedule.
Tall Mike Thanks this.
