It actually wasn't an auction, but Iron Planet's format for providing inspections and then the owner can accept offers but is not obligated to sell.
The outfit that was selling had an absolutely immaculate yard and shop, and they said that they had just changed all fluids, which is probably $1000 or more in oil alone. The fear is that they changed fluids to hide something, but so far everything that they claimed about it has been correct. We just checked all the planetaries and diffs today - clean oil and full! Time will tell, but I think we did ok on this one.Feedman, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this. -
New bridge or getting around to fixing one hit last year?Feedman, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -
Not sure , the local news said it was bridge work but they interviewed the Construction crew that said they were digging up concrete road sections and repouring them. I live east of Atlanta and the work is on the west side. I do now there's some ruff places on 285 , if you can believe that.Feedman, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

New turbo actuator is working good again.. truck runs even better than before, i think that old actuator was bad and i just didnt know it and got lucky with it working for 1 more run. Maybe because i recalibrated it when i took it odf the old turbo and put it on new one. Who knows
So i moved on and worked on the a/c since it hasnt been working. all the freon leaked out while it was parked for 2.5 years.. pulled a vacuum on it today and it held for an hour. So i charged it up again and its ice cold.. just wonder if it must be leaking somewhere, because freon should stay in system even if its parked? sprayed soap and water on all the lines and didnt see any bubbles and it did hold its vacuum the whole time but who knows atleast its working now. Now we gotta go find some work. Just in time for dot blitz next week?

Wishing good luck. I have bought machinery and found it had problems; some lied about, some honest.
"Honest one had serious problem and would need an engine." ... 6 cyl Continental. The stub pin into block, for idler timing gear had backed out, Teeth grinding the cover a little. Front cover off, new pin installed and engine still running.singlescrewshaker, CAXPT, cke and 7 others Thank this. -
Dahm, that much at that rate? More successful bunch than mine...

Unloaded out there Tuesday morning and it was 70 with a light breeze. All the local guys had long sleeves and hoodies. Somehow I don't think I'll get that lucky for the next one in a few weeks.
Hope it all keeps working for you.singlescrewshaker, CAXPT, beastr123 and 7 others Thank this. -
Oh yeah its been real nice for like 3 weeks now. Mostly in the 70s and 80s.. now its gonna be hotter than a raped ape for pretty much next week until thanksgiving

That rear end does look pretty brutal.
A 55K Mack camelback would probably be gentle by comparison.singlescrewshaker, CAXPT, beastr123 and 6 others Thank this.
