Canadian Trucking Companies Sued For Illegally Parked Trucks

Good hope they win and nuclear virdict the companys. Sure you can argue the car driver was being reckless and have a solid case. But if the bozos werent illegally parked it would not have mattered.

Or to put it a diffrent way for some who need it spelled out. If i was walking down a path drunk as a skunk next to a river with a sharp drop off and kept nearly falling in. And it was also a no vehicles path. If i fell in and drowned. thats on me for being dumb.

However, if a guy in a car ignores the no cars sign and takes the path then hits me and throws me into the river where i drown. Then it doesnt matter what state i was in or what i was doing. The guy doing illegal things is now 100% liable for my death. The fact i kept nearly falling in has no bearing. The fact i was drunk has no bearing. Only the fact the guy in the car broke the law and because of that directly caused my death.

And thats what happened here. Truck parked where it shouldnt. Guy driving a car likely on a route he has taken thousands of times and got lax taking then hits truck illegally parked and dies. The driver of the truck is at fault.
