Lots of people know about using the Wahsatch exit to get around Evanston POE. First good snow and it's over but there's always a couple that tempt fate and end up paying big money to get towed out of the snow.

I'm surprised they would bother anyone going down Chalk Creek to get around Echo. I don't think it's as widely known

Last time I went eastbound thru the Evanston port of entry there was a driver who drove around the scalehouse and thought he didn’t have to go in after going on the scale. Right as he was driving on the exit ramp to I-80 a DOT officer came running out of the watercraft inspection shack, stopped him right there and then, and made him back up the ramp and go into the port of entry office!LMAO.
Never a dull moment in Evanston!;)

Wyoming has lights at their port of entries to let drivers know to bypass coming into the office if they’re busy(usually they’re dealing with either too many drivers or oversize loads).

That’s why you sit there a couple minutes or go in and take a leak before you leave.

I’m sure you have experience in that department!;)

Me, I have nothing to hide.
Our company used to be an outlaw outfit (before CSA 2010)
But we’re “safe and sane” now!LMAO

Most of the time we were legal on weight by the time we hit WY. It’s not so much I had anything to hide, just no reason to be logged into an antique computer system because WY thinks everyone needs to check in with them. Keep in mind these days there wouldn’t be any real benefit to the tactics I used because of Flock cameras and other license plate readers. These days the cops have real time data of everywhere you’ve been.
