    my
Fortunately it was not at that Schoeps ice cream location. They have two other buildings in an industrial park. Still a bit of a weird dock but nothing to complain about. Just weird having to blindside to me in a newer dock is all.

The good definitely outweighs the bad here. Just the typical reefer headaches. No fuel plans or routes within reason. They leave me alone and let me do my job. We can PC which I see most companies have taken away from drivers.

So overall pretty happy here but just like everyone else as far as pay goes it just sucks trying to keep up with inflation anymore because it feels like your dollar doesn’t go far at all these days.

So you’re saying the total on my paystub does not include the per diem?

If you’re talking about the total on the bottom for state and federal gross earnings, it’s excluding per diem. Per diem is whatever the gross nontaxable reimbursements is on your settlement each week. Kind of annoying part of per diem cause it technically lowers your earnings for the year on paper, which hurts for loans and whatever else.

I agree with the rest of your list for sure though, especially the typical reefer headaches. Can make for great coast to coast runs or can be 3-stoppers to AWG and Sysco lol. Like right now, about to head the last few hours to an 0100 delivery in Batavia, IL and then picking up a load that DDT’s at Tyson in Ottawa at 0200 Sunday to go to Connecticut for a multi stopper. What dreams are made of

And agreed about inflation for sure. I went OTR in 2021 right before inflation spiked and thought I was living like a king and then boom, housing prices double, inflation soars, and pay has barely crept up since over the last 5 years

Great Dane will let ya park outside the gate after delivery if that truck stop down the street is full also, if you haven’t been there yet

Also, I’m in truck 24026 if you ever see me out and about

Appreciate that, I made to the TA in Holland with about 7 minutes left on my clock. Will deliver asap in the morning and wait for my next pre plan.

I just had a brutal Tyson load. Good miles but 8 am delivery in Vegas to a small meat packer which you had to back off the street and maneuver around the cars in the parking lot. Then deliver 0800 the next day to Costco in Tracy California, which usually I love a Costco delivery but that place was INSANE! Then lol, be up in Stockton for a 2300 delivery to UNFI and picked up the next morning in Bakersfield for 10:30. So I was feeling it when I found out I had a seal leak.

Got empty in Wayne NE and didn’t have to wait long for next load. Picking up an ice cream load in Le Mars with two drops in Virginia. 1272 loaded and 74 empty miles. I’ll catch yall on the back haul. Stay safe everybody.

So just to update that load picks up in le mars with a drop in Manassas Va Monday at 0900 and Winchester VA 1400. That gives me 2600.5 miles for the week a drop from my previous two which I had 3,428 and 3,099.

One thing I love about this company is payroll is spot on. I never have to chase my money or scratch my head looking at my settlement thinking something isn’t right. My checks have always been 100 percent correct. I k ow some companies you have to call payroll every week it seems and get “it will be on next weeks settlement” none of that bullcrap here.

Also stop pay is $40 bucks which isn’t bad compared to most companies which are only paying $20 or $30 a drop that I’ve seen or aware of.

Just got empty and my next load sent over. More ice cream out of Laurel MD to Woodburn IN to start the week with 635 miles total. pick up tomorrow 0900 and deliver Wednesday 0900.

I’ll probably #### it down early because I don’t see much for parking between Winchester VA and Laurel MD. There’s the TA in Jessup but that place is even below my standards and 35 to park plus drivers say it’s a nightmare to get out of that place. I’ve tried parking there a couple times and never found a spot anyways so I don’t even try anymore.

Well off to find my spot for the night. Yall have a great day.

There is a rest area Maryland I-95 Mile 37 not far from the Jessup TA. Fills up early though and trucks park on the shoulder. About 15 minutes South away from that there is another parking area where 495 meets 95N. The shoulders on the ramp there are very wide with trucks parking on both sides.

Appreciate it. I was looking at those rest areas but decided not to take a chance on them filling up. I ended up at the east bound scale about 36 miles from my pickup. Would’ve loved to have gotten closer but this area absolutely sucks when it comes to truck parking.
