Yes, long stalk out from front wheel post.. activated by 3 or 4" diameter, 6' long shaft back to the buried sector.Hit the field end fence and try to turn right, Have to stop 6' back to make it, or hook and drag a mile of fence. Left turn, smooth. But turning plows ask to go right then return to other end.

Feedman, cke and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Yes that was the DC3 & SC3 in the 30 hp range. The VC was smaller but also had the chicken roost steering as did the early VAC which came after the VC. I sold my DC4 with hand clutch.

This is a VC which used the 4 cylinder flathead continental engine, Clark built the gears and Case built the castings.

    IMG_8597.jpeg IMG_8598.jpeg
The SC3 which is narrow front.

    IMG_8599.jpeg IMG_8600.jpeg IMG_8601.jpeg IMG_8602.jpeg

Then the DC models. Mine was a DC4 wide front where the axle was back under the radiator.

DC4 I sold. Front wheels are solid cast with only 3 bolts holding them on… just imagine “hub pilot” front wheels, it’s nothing new lol.

The DC has a cast iron grill with the battery behind and above the dash, and the SC has a sheet metal grill with battery under the dash….

Oxbow, JolliRoger and Feedman Thank this.
