FWIW when KW went to poly bushings about 20 years back we converted a bunch back to the threaded, greaseable pins. The poly bushings just weren't holding up off the pavement. I'm sure they probably work just fine if you're always on pavement.

Good to know I am off pavment a lot. I wouldn't want to have to pay full price for these puppies but I got them about 50% off so I am pretty happy. Look easy to change out as well.

On the Kenworths we found the bushings were pressed into the spring eyes pretty tight.

There is a special socket that fits those pins but I have threaded the pins in with a regular wrench before, just takes more time to do it.

Good to know. It will probably be a week or so before I have to attempt that job. Hopefully it goes smoothly. I might throw some washers in my current ones to take up the lateral slack in the mean time. I don't like that they are able to shift around like that.
