I only use a few brokers. If they do not have quick pay I do not work with them either. In this day and age I would not trust anyone holding money over a week especially now that SCOTUS ruled brokers can be held accountable.

I think you missed my point. A company gets the contract for rebuilding roads or bridges. Just like any business it is whom you know not what you know or how competitive you are. These people normally have a in via some political person or insider. You get me the jobs and I will fill your account up with money and goods via being friends or whatever way they need to be used.

Any money the government gives out in contracts is normally like this. Go look into the prison systems as well. Money laundering is normal schemes all day long. Big government at work!

I doubt that. The real reason all of this is going up and will stay up is the fact the CDL's are no longer being given out like candy. Add in a little extra supply and demand and we have a stable set up for awhile. Then some moron will come in and say we need cheap labor again for truckers and they will start handing out CDL's like candy again. That is the only fix they can do that drops the market. More drivers less pay.

I have been watching the loads stay in brokers load boards for days. That is because they cannot move them for cheap like before. This is different than Covid and not even close from the fuel prices. I seen this happening as soon as they started enforcing English requirements. Notice how many people did not go out during DOT week. They didn't want to cross some of the state lines because of English requirements.

Pretty obvious I won't be there anyway, but I wouldn't even look at the truck for those rates. Wow
