When you go to their location site it's a bit of a challenge to locate each one of their truck stops. They are spread out all over the country and not in any particular order or grouping. Quite impressive.

    buzzarddriver and drvrtech77 Thank this.

I read that a little while ago. I'm sure there will be minimal disruption in the daily operation of The Tennessean Truck Stop as it was recently completely rebuilt after the devastating fire they had. I also read that she might be lending her name to a few other truck stops probably in or around Nashville but surely in Tennessee.

UPDATE: I visited the Robertsdale, AL location....on Tuesday, April 21st.

The new T/A corporate footprint does not completely smother the nostalgic feel of the diner area.

The grand opening was about 3 weeks ago; the place is thus now back open for business. The parking lot is all paved, & HUGE; I'm told there's room for approx 180 rigs. Several spaces are also available for bobtail only. All the truck fuel pumps are working (diesel, & DEF).

There is a scale there -- but it's not working, & is blocked off; I'm told there are simply too many other scales nearby to make a refurbish for it economically worthwhile. :(

If you decide to stay/visit there, & eat -- try to get a table in the railway dining car; it's a museum in & of itself. Each table in the dining car is a glass-enclosed display with a different theme: some are nostalgic cars, trains...or even toys.

Avoid ordering the meatloaf plate -- it's only so-so, at best.

Hope some of this helps...see attached pics...:D

I actually ate there a few years ago. Thought it seemed familiar. It was nice then. Hopefully TA doesn't ruin it.

Thanks for the update lual. I was hoping that they wouldn't mess with the Derailed Diner concept or the unique GMC fuel desk. I'll have to take the wife for a little trip to check it out

    Numb Thanks this.

It’s open and running now. Lots of parking.
Looks like they are building a Racetrack truck stop next door.

Thanks mustang for the update. A Racetrac next door might be interesting competition.

Interesting that you have the TA at Exit 52, next exit west is the Buc-ee's at Exit 49, then at Exit 44 there's the Loves, Speedway, and a Raceway building south side of that exit, and all of the DC's at that exit. Where or where is Pilot/Flying J? Will they build at exit 49 by Buc-ee? Lots of space there on the other 3 corners?
