I’m not too certain human intervention from the ROC is any better. Last night they tried dispatching me on two loads after our coordinator cleared me to head home. True, my go home day was a day earlier than usual, but the coordinator told me I was the fourth driver that evening to be dispatched erroneously. Someone wasn’t watching their calendar.

I think the new system seems to be working well for their purposes for most drivers, though there is no consensus either among drivers or even the office staff. Personally, I just hate having a long break in the midst of my day. But I’ll just do my best to work within the confines of the platform.

The ROC was a bit rough at first, a lot of drivers had to give loads back because they couldn't do them. That's the part the driver has to play to get it working right.

They're still rough. Too often it sounds like the proverbial “It’s only > < this far apart on the map”, not really allowing sufficient time for a pre trip, fueling the refer (I’m at a grocery DC), and afternoon traffic. But I’m optimistic they will improve.

Yeah I think they'll get it right eventually. It saves time not having to figure up ETD's but they still want us to know our ETD - how to figure it. It's making a mundane little bit of a time wasting task easier/quicker but at the same time sort of dumbing down trip planning if that makes sense.

    Before AI dispatch,
    1. How long did you have to wait to get a load?
    2. How often did you have to wait to get a load because the next load wasn't already ready for you? 3. Did you have 3-4 hour wait times in the middle of your day because there was no freight for you to take at that time (waiting for a trailer to be loaded)?
    4. Did drivers extending for the extra $275 (on weekends for example) take up all the freight so that normally scheduled drivers had to wait for a load?

Im a new hire out of the Brooksville Florida DC. Ive been on my own for 6-7 weeks. Im liking it. They have already hired about 40 drivers after me so thats kind of interesting.

The work here is pretty different than the 14 years of otr experience I have. Guess I got a little lazy lol. More activity and im a bigger guy so its been taking some getting use to. None of the new hires that I know of got to choose a schedule. Almost if not all are 5-2 1500 extra board.

Anyways just wanted to post on this thread and be apart of the convo.

    1) loads are given out immediately
    2) I dunno anybody keeping tabs on that, it happens sometimes, not a big deal everything pays and evens out
    3) that can happen too, not often but again, doesn't matter, it's on the clock
    4) no, there's always plenty of freight for everyone the worst paycheck here would be one of the best at most companies
