When do you start in Richfield? We are going to be taking a load up there either late next week or the week after for training. Maybe I can stick my head in while there and meet ya!

Was this perhaps before the electronic logs? - Cause it -seems- that people on here that have had those installed don't reach 3k miles now.
Of course I dunno....but not many drivers out there overall reaching this sort of weekly miles. The low 2s is more what appears to be actual.

Maybe they really are getting 3k but...? :biggrin_25511:

And yes..Roehl will pay you back for training. Whether it was RDTC or a private/vocational school. It's capped at around $2600 but as long as the school is on their 'approved' list - its reimbursable.

Several I talked too are already on E-Logs but some are not. Yes they did see a reduction in miles but it appears there was a learning curve in there and now they are back up to decent miles each week. I would imagine a 3700 mile week would mean he was not on e-logs for sure.

It appears Millis doesnt repay for school outside of theirs as they want you to learn it the Millis way. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing but thats their policy. I will only have knowledge of the Millis way so not sure I can judge.

I will ask that question this week and see if I can get more details on the change in miles since e-logs.

Maybe Spanky can add if he has time or see's this.

i am on the e logs and no i am not getting 3000 miles every week but i have been staying right at 28 to 2900 miles a week. some of the other guys i have talked to on them say they getting over 3000 but they are usually running regional and the same runs all the time. also they have had quite a few drivers quit lately and most have been due to the e logs.

So what's your take on the e-logs? I mean quiting due to them seems harsh since anywhere else you might go will be on them sooner or later.

Taco - not sure if we are going to Richfield or Black River Falls. If were hit Richfield I will stick my ugly head and see if I can find you.

Spanky - that seems to be the view that I have obtained from the few I have met at the yard. For me having to deal with them will depend on how fast they roll them out to all the trucks as I am sure if/once I get my own truck I am sure I will get one of the oldest ones available to start.

If you get by the Cartersville yard - please let me know would like to meet you.

    Baritone,

Congrats on your first week in the books with training at MTI. You have one of the best attitudes I've seen on this forum. I've enjoyed reading your progression through the steps with Millis. Keep up the good wook!
