Seniority shall prevail over all. Your right, Your on the bottom of the seniority list. you will work all kinds of shifts, manual labor stops sort and segregate, Saturdays, Sundays, all kinds of different start times. Times you will not even work. This is for a young kid that wants to have a long career in the trucking industry. GREAT retirement. but you have to pay your dues. good luck too the person posting

You misunderstood his post. The OP ONLY wants a 2 years gig. He’s not looking for a future, even though ABF would’ve secured it.

Given what the OP said he’s looking for, of those I’d recommend extra board at Estes and bounce around to different terminals like what @KaoMinerva does.

It's funny how many people respond to a troll, like it is something serious.

    Speedy356 and Lonesome Thank this.

Perhaps, but troll or not, it could happen. I've known drivers that said, "only for a couple years", and 19 years later, still at it. For anyone that might be serious, once ABF checks start a rollin' in, you'd think twice about quitting. When all the dust settles, if ever, there will be 3 carriers in the US, and ABF will probably be one of them.

I applied to multiple companies and got accepted by these two. I wanted to know which one I should get into based on my situation.

My brother drove linehaul for Central. His start time was 9PM. Seldom, if ever, was his trailer ready. Always ended up leaving 2 hrs or more later. Seldom had the same run. One night, might be an Indy turn, next night was Cleveland, or Detroit, etc.
