Hey man. I’m with Holland… been here for a little over two years now. No complaints from me. They treat me well, and do NOT micromanage. I started a thread last year, but man, I couldn’t keep up with it. In fact, I hadn’t logged in since last December I believe. I’m sure I caught a lot of crap for disappearing ha.
You’ll do well at Holland if you’re safe and don’t get too many service failures that you’re at fault for.
You won’t even hear from them like others have mentioned. You’ll see a lot of the same customers since we go to the same places a lot. Which is fine with me since it’s less stressful becuase you know what to expect and you’ll learn the process.
I prefer Holland because I rather bump docks twice a week than 4-5 weeks, and rather close two doors and ride for 3-5 days before seeing another customer.
lastly you will seldom — if ever — haul a brokered load.
99.9% of loads are direct customers and there isn’t any produce or meat loads. You might get a Tyson load if you end up in the Roger’s area of Arkansas which sucks, but that’s the only place that I can’t stand. I’ve only been there twice in two years and that was enough. If you need anything feel free to reach out as I try to be more active on the platform. Stay safe.

I was following your thread before. Glad to see you're still at Holland. It's going good for me so far and everything you have said is pretty accurate.FullMetalJacket, hotrod1653, JohnBoy and 3 others Thank this.

Got empty early yesterday morning in Lewisville and picked up in Mansfield, TX in the afternoon for a load going to Warren, MI. 41 empty miles and 1234 loaded. I got a message this morning that 2 drivers are claiming to have the same trailer I have.
I sent a message back stating I definitely do have that trailer number. I don't really understand how you could not know your own trailer number... You can see it in your mirror without even getting out of the truck...

I’m picking up in Richland tomorrow morning — 5/20 @ 0830 — heading to Sturtevant, WI for a 5/24 @ 2230 delivery.
There’s extra time built in this load because I have a VA appointment Friday in Fargo, so I’m basically going to take Friday and Saturday off in Fargo and head back out Sunday at noon to run the remaining miles.

Yep. That’s the one.

I miss that McLanes run. I was going back and forth all the time for two months.IWX6279 Thanks this.

Yeah, pretty easy lane to run. I primarily run from the Midwest to the PNW, which I prefer. I hate running the sunbelt.
Especially I-40. Too many illegals on that lane. All you have to do is look at all the trash.
What’s the ole adage? You can take them out of their third-world-country, however, you can’t take the third-world-country out them. -
In my time with Holland I’ve literally only been to Michigan once. I’m not complaining, it’s a preference.
