Love that truck.!

Got to somewheres New Jersey with it, boys come out in these yellow coveralls, Geiger counter in hand. Click Click clicking away & he jumps back sumthin quick. "We gonna have let this one set few months before we can work on it!!"

It's not that I'm in love with that truck just figured it's a "known" truck & has a verifiable history.
Anything else at that price point is just gonna be another roll of the dice.
Can't figure why he just ain't say,
Naw, ain't fer sale..
Rugerfan, thatsright, Sons Hero and 5 others Thank this. -
Maybe hoarder mentality. My mother used to do that. Put things out for garage sale, and then when someone would try to get a lower price, she'd go into how special it was, and then not want to sell it. She was a hoarder.

A question for the shotgun owners:
I have 2 brand new never fired shotguns, both semiautomatic, 12 gauge. Heard something about breaking in a new gun by running a couple hundred rounds of high brass shells through. Could anyone explain in cornbread language, the purpose of a break in and what the consequences are for screwing this up?thatsright, MACK E-6, Sons Hero and 3 others Thank this. -
Looks like when "Betty" gets a little older she will be able to breed or be bred.TripleSix, cke, wore out and 1 other person Thank this.

First I’ve heard of that. I was always under the impression the factory test fired them. Even still though, I can’t picture a semi-auto shotgun being built with tolerances so tight it needs a “break-in” period.
Hell, differences in shell manufacturing alone could cause the FTFs and FTEs that this “break-in period” might be intended to supposedly fix.sawmill, TripleSix, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm a terrible shotgun owner. The only ones I really take care of are the cheap old single shots of my papaws and their parents, and the 1100 Remington mom bought dad in 70. They stay inside, and get treated well.
My duck guns are Beretta and Franchi, and occasionally a Benelli. They get rode hard and put up wet, and besides the Benelli, they never leave the gun boxes in the boats.
I ain't totin a shotgun that needs a break in. Have never done a "break in" on a shotgun. They go hunting out of the box.
I keep 2 cans of starting fluid in the boats to clean them, and a little CLP for the action.Oxbow, sawmill, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
A few years back, I tried my hand at a 3 gun competition and I brought a brand new out the box AR12. The gas block was blocked and so it jammed every time I shot it. I get that and understand how tha gas works to chamber the next round. It was the only time and the only gun I have ever had any issues with right out the box. BTW, 3 gun competitions aren’t fun for EDC type of people.sawmill Thanks this.
