hey MC good thing cuz I enjoy posting back and forth with you and don't want to peeve off anyone!!I have seen some tiffs and cat fights on here going back and forth on some threads
I am glad to have some one who is pretty much going thru the same thing as me
Hubby got home last night about 7pm leaves tomorrow around 10am heading to NYC area. We finished all the errands and getting him re set and are now just chilling gonna grill some burgers soon mmmm.
Does it seem like you spend 1/2 your time when he's home helping him get the stuff ready for the next trip out? Like laundry, food, picking up the truck, shopping etc? I don't mind one bit but I don't think my MIL quite understands why he has some little time when he's home. (And we do like to try to go out if we can!!)

The last thing I want is more DRAMA...... I try to live my life drama-FREE because I think I've had enough to last a lifetime! I'm here to make new friends not enemies.

Hubby called me last night about 1 30 am and I was up watching a chessy Lifetime movie...LOL. He will be home tomorrow morning, and leaving tomorrow night or early Monday morning....
Yes, I cook whatever he wants, do his laundry, and we go shopping together. We try to spend some quality alone time together. I try not to be selfish either because my MIL does live with us...but it is honestly really hard to not be selfish. ....

You WILL get used to this "life style." It may take a bit of time, but eventually you will sort of "hit your stride," and find that things start working out for you. It just takes a while for the lifestyle changes to become a bit more routine, but trust me, it will happen.
mcr1016 Thanks this. -
Thanks Big Don and yes it does get easier each time he's home more routine to know what needs pulled out and what needs to go back in the truck-for both of us!
Yeah MC know what you mean about being selfish.....since I work from home I want to go out and since hubby is always out I figure he wants to be home so we split and try to go out one night (like last night when he was home later just went down to the local bar/rest. for dinner and a few beers) and stay home one and we make home cooked stuff (like today) burgers on the grill and cold beers (no one has to DRIVE either!!). and just say NO to DRAMA! I too just want to have fun, make friends and keep learning from those that have been there ahead of us!! (like Big Don!!)
And 2litboots-yes i am trying to post like crazy to get to 50!! so I make little comments here and there weither they make sense or not...LOL!!
mcr1016 Thanks this. -

I keep busy with my work, church, and or take classes do civic work to keep busy, but now my youngest is leaving home, and I will be going Full time on the road. This going to be a major change in my life as I had learned to become self sufficient while he was gone. And he is home we did everything together grocery shopping, movies, walks.

Wow!
I will just keep chuggin' along and adding my $0.02.
