The broker aint answering calls from my company, and the company is hesitant about paying this themselves. So it looks like I am stuck at this place for a while till something gets resolved. Which is probably tomorrow.
What would you do with a $1,300 lumper bill?

Convenience fee of $25?! What the hell is so convenient about it?! And they charged $200 for less than 3 day notice of appointment. Good lord does this place want their #### or not?
OLDSKOOLERnWV, RockinChair, TheLoadOut and 8 others Thank this. -
So, are they refusing to let you leave the property or just refusing to give you back the signed BOL until they are paid? If they are coercing you, there could be legal ramifications for the lumping service and/or receiver.
TheLoadOut, silverspur and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
They gave me the green light and released my trailer so I was free to leave, it was my dispatcher that said to stay there till morning so they could get things settled with the broker and the receiver. Strange thing happened though, after parking in their lot where the portajon is atm I suddenly get an electronic receipt marked as paid in full for the lumper. My dispatcher had no idea who paid it, maybe the broker responded to a message after all. I got my pod and was free to leave.

Well that is great news! I am glad someone got busy and got it paid for you so you didn't have to stay there. Unless you are staying there anyway for a break or something.OLDSKOOLERnWV, TheLoadOut, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this.
