All logic went out her window with ELD and the developed rules. Set of rules conflict with real life, rules rewritten or added to adjust and get more senseless.. All the various ways, paper, tachograph, ELD gets abused/sharpshot. I don't think there is as much need for detailed logging now as years ago. We drove til we were tired and stopped and slept until we woke up. Overall were driving safe, but making miles. Lots of drivers today leave out with a destination of "The First Truckstop on your Right.", really too lazy to punch it...

We have set in a restaurant on the WA/OR line and logged from Cols, MS to Frisco to Seattle and to there. Nothing unsafe, drove as team 5 on,1, 5, off if DOT had been in the cab. But the quality of the drivers and attitudes toward a job these days, does encourage monitoring.
I alway figured if boss had to watch me, I needed to get me another boss. Conversely, if I had to watch a hand I hired to do something, it was time to review my hiring skills....

I am seriously tired of my ISX. Been fighting these boost issues, new turbo didn’t fix it, put a new electronic/air valve on for the actuator, Didn’t fix it, it’s sitting at a third mechanic now, and they’re all scratching their head. The one currently working on it, said that he thinks it’s a bad ECM file. What makes me not believe that, is it does the same thing, even with a test ECM. I’m ready to paint it yellow. POS. Bad air to air? Rant over

I have seen up too 40 psi. Once or twice. 30 occasionally. I can usually get 18 to 20, if I flog it for a while. Sometimes it only goes up to 10, and you can’t even get out of your own way. And everything for those ISX is thundering expensive compared to that B model cat I had. I have put 70,000 miles on this engine, and I’m still not sold on it. I’ve put almost 25% as much into keeping this stupid thing running, as I put into completely over hauling the Cat. Still have the original issues. And, like you said, it’s basically a game of whack a mole.

Over the last couple months me and u are keeping isx part manufacturers in business..

Have u ever pressure tested the cac and see if its leaking? Maybe thats a good place to go if its only a boost problem and no other symptoms.
