Lol I just realized this was the pedal bike thread and not the motorcycle thread. Sorry folks.

It didn't stick out too much because the same happened to pedal bikes. Covid came and everybody had a bit of disposable income, lots of free time, and nothing to do. Lots of hobbies exploded for a short time causing shortages of inventory and increased prices. Well, that didn't last forever and now there's massive unsold inventory and shops going out of business all over. Everybody seemed to think it was a permanent thing.

Still happy with the bike? Just curious after you've cranked out some miles if you've found things you'd do different.

I’m very pleased with that bike. It’s smooth on the pedal strokes. I added power meter pedals so help gain some insight. How’s your bike hunt going?

I've been eyeing this one, if it's still for sale. Kids sent it to me last week. Frame height looks like it would be close to what I need.

I just know nothing really about road bikes, and I'm cheap AF. I won't be able to ride much till winter, and I'm wondering if bikes would be cheaper then.

This one is priced at 1750$. Seems like a lot of bike for the money, but what do I know.

Looks like the price is right on the money for that one. Since it's carbon you want to make sure there's no cracking/delamination. Apparently they're notorious for rubbing in the stays if you put on 25mm tires so check that and keep it skinny. Looks around 2012 vintage. Did they say the year?

Somewhere it said it's a 2014. Here's the description they sent me, and a couple other pics.

If you're looking for a road machine it looks fine. I'm partial to disc brakes myself, but for a pure speed machine I'm sure it's a pretty good deal. You might be able to find a new one from canyon that's on par these days for maybe another thousand since technology is always moving.

Good points. I'll keep that in mind and do some more looking. I definitely prefer disc brakes on mtn bikes. I'll check out what Canyon has to offer.
