Hopefully we will have some of our questions answered about LOST but they said not all of them per the ABC promo's like why the numbers were so important???? LOL when my hubby called me Thursday it was like 10.10pm and after we said hello, he said, ' LOST is over now right I called after it was on?' He knows I love it. We watched the first show last night- I am trying to get him to take the DVD's with him I have them all.

I will be tired Monday AM for a different reason -staying up watching TV!

MC I hope you have a GREAT day together!:biggrin_25520: it will feel like Christmas morning!

I know this question was not directed at me, but I will attempt to give you a very logical (and true) answer:

It's EASY when you don't have a life! At least, that is my excuse!:biggrin_2559:

    sammycat Thanks this.

Also remember your families perspective, if you have little kids at home, they will also need you in their lives. Find a balance between working for a living in a truck and spending time with your families. The most important job that you can do is to be a father and dad for your kids. If you have any sons, you're the most important person in their life.

Hey all, just joined the forum today.
I am currently working for FedEx Ground Home Delivery. I have worked there over 8 years with various contractors. If you don't know, Fed Ex Ground does not hire company drivers, they hire contractors who in turn hire drivers to work for THEM. Therefore no benefits, paid time off or insurance of any kind. I work as much as any UPS driver and make less than a third of the pay. Some contractors can pay for a few days off, but the overwhelming majority cannot. Perhaps other regions have a higher volume and things are better (different).

Anyway, I have decided to take the plunge into the OTR world, and frankly am extremely excited about it. My girlfriend not so much. I have no misconceptions or preconceived notions of making big money or being home on a regular basis. I am fully prepared to pay my dues as a rookie driver for the next 1-3 years minimum. It is my hope to get my CDL-A, get some solid miles and either make a living at it full time or get back to school later, get my teaching degree, and spend the summers trucking all over our great country with my girl.

Here is what is on the docket, and I would love to see what comments come from this.
I am corresponding through Driver Solutions. Scheduled to go to C1 Truck School in Indy on June 14. 3 week school.
I plan to pay the $495 towards my tuition to get pay to 26c. per mile. I will also get a hotel room with NO roommate. I am not anti-social, but I need me time.
I should be getting hired to work for USA Truck. Anybody have opinions on them?

Check out the USA Truck section of the forum, and don't hesitate to ask questions!

I have no experience with them, but some of the members here have.
