Hey guys. I have a peterbilt 388 isx 15 with eaton 18s trans. 500k miles on truck.
I've noticed lately when splitting from 6L to 6H the truck jerks into 6h and rpms drop rather quick instead of just flowing smoothly to high side of 6. It doesn't seem to do it this way every time, very intermittently. 7L to 7H also does it but very intermittently not as often at 6L to 6H.
Any idea? Can you rebuild something like this or does this call for a reman? If so, where would be the go to for a reman 18s?
