Thanks, but I'm interested in an actual freezer. Besides, my experience with coleman coolers has not been good.

Thanks. The 52 qt waeco is available at Iowa80 and through their website , and I'll probably go with it. The edgestar is a little bigger, and at a lower price,so I was just considering it, but I don't know about the reputation and reliability of edgestar. The waeco has a good reputation.

Mine works..but you have to keep the refrigerator compressor cool. I use a small fan that blows directly on the compressor. I had a Danby Diplomat- it went kaput. THEN.. I bought a Kenmore 1.7. That little thing will freeze a coke, freeze my milk. MUCH better than a cooler. You can buy them used for $20-$45 on craigslist here in K.C. If this one goes kaput I will just buy another used one on craigslist.

I have an Emerson Compact 2.2 cu ft refridgerator/0.9 cu ft freezer and a Cobra 2500 watt/ 5000 watt peak inverter with a digital volt/watt display.

The compressor will peak at 120 watts when it first kicks in and settles at 70 watts running. It doesn't run long at all. Maybe a couple minutes every half hour.

I think a little inverter would handle it. $189 at Target, Freezer holds 10-12 TV dinners plus whatcha can put in the door. It's lockable too so the doors can't fly open on rough roads.

Waeco's are great, if you want they will freeze even thought they are sold as a fridge just turn the temp down, they work great over here in the temps we get up to in OZ - plus 40 degrees C

Ive been using a danby 3.3cft fridge for over a year now. No issues. I haven't turned it off since i installed it. Truck parked for four days and batteries are still at 12.3volts. If i park any longer then four days i'll plug the battery charger in. The fridge doesn't run all the time...when compressor kicks on my inverter says its pulling between 40 and 50 watts. It'll only run for a min or two when it kicks on. Maintains temp really well. Paid around a $100 for it at walmart. I'm running a 1500watt inverter. Could'nt be happier
