So get rid of the trucks and things are better? I don't know the area, but is this a decent truck stop or one of those that is just in a key spot?
-
now will they mandatorily approve the zoning for a new truckstop that is nearby, and pay for all the interchange improvements to handle the new higher truck traffic at a new location, or will they just close the truckstop and further worsen the shortage of truck parking along this heavily traveled route, adding to driver fatigue?
-
And it will of course be the driver's fault if the stretch that goes past there becomes a high crash area due to fatigued drivers. Hopefully TA or someone sees to open a new one nearby.

New truckstop??? NOT IN OUR COMMUNITY! !!
No one wants the trucks but they sure want the freight we bring! I say screw 'em all!!! Let the whole stinking state starve! The anti-truck attitude is making me crazy. -
I know lets haul everything with smaller vehicles that can't hold as much so then we will create new jobs and then use more fuel and then... it is just crazy how people can get this type of attitude about trucks.
"That crap in your house got there because a truck brought it!" unless you made the things out of the trees in your backyard. lol -
