Looking into Crete/Shaffer after I complete driving school (I start Monday). The liberal family rider program is a big selling point for me (wife & son < 5), and both of them being able to ride on board from time to time is a nice perk.
Anyone ever have issues getting rider passes? Is their program indeed as liberal as advertised (Child under 5 AND spouse, 1 passenger if over 5)?

well i hope you have a month to spare if your wanting to come here. it took them a month to review and approve my application. it took me 5 emails and probably 10+ phone calls. then when i had given up and stopped caring if they called, the phone rang.
they are thorough in the hiring process. it is crazy how long it takes. but. i guess it weeds out the people who would not have made it anyway. -
Good to know, thanks for the heads up. I'm not in a rush, but don't want to wait forever either. Knowing ahead of time that there may be delays will help.
mlrs - you drive for Crete/Shaffer? Their web explains their rider program as a single rider age 5 or older, or, a child under 5 with the non-driving spouse accompanying. Is this no longer the case # CCC? -
I know this is getting a little old but, I had no problem getting permission for the wife to ride along. Just mailed a copy of marriage lic. and 1 wl later had a form good for (I think) 10 years! Can't help ya with the little one , but just call em
