Uh oh, looks like he got "the hammer".
mjd4277 Thanks this. -
It also sounds like he killed one of his partners in crime and beat the charges. "Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy" seems to be how the jury felt.
RockinChair and mjd4277 Thank this. -
Louisiana is an awful place for truck drivers. That state is full of sue happy attorneys for any little fender bender by a truck. I’ve told this story before on here, but I know a guy hauling telephone poles on a flatbed. Two cars wrecked in front of him so he hit the ditch to avoid them. He laid it over and the poles flew off. One of them hit one of the wrecked cars so they sued him for it. So dumb. I’ve never liked Louisiana.

This is the guy. He was the former president of the Louisiana Horseman’s Benevolent and Protective Association until he was convicted of stealing funds and paying people to fix his election. He did jail time for that before he got out and started staging semi accidents.

That guy is one of the many reasons why insurance is so d a m n high!
He’s also a poster child for why companies are installing dashcams and side mounted cameras!
You can learn a lot from a dummy!!!

This guy had a few accomplices. A really nice looking female lawyer who he was involved with went down with him and was sentenced too..

That's every state anymore. And especially every city. They are all filled with nothing but ambulance chaser billboards. One of many reasons I especially hate Atlanta and avoid it at all costs.OldeSkool and Otr Traveler Thank this.

Trial lawyers aren't common anymore..most of what is left are hustlers..they can get a loan to get the billboard and advertising, then it's off to the races..as long as it's a cut abd dry case..
OldeSkool Thanks this.
