Dispatch services are like a fat gym teacher, they can't do it themselves but they will tell you how.

Stripe is a Bank of America product, adding to the cost of the "dispatch service".

If these dispatching companies have their own freight or exclusive access to freight. Why don't they file the paperwork to become a real broker?

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Because their "shippers" are the load boards.

Does an extra $13-100 in cost really matter that much if you are making an extra $3k?

Because they don’t really have their own freight or access to it other than load boards.

Which makes me wonder how they even get access to a load boards in the first place..OH wait, I guess they use their clients numbers..login credentials.

Anybody that wants to just drive and make good money can easily do so at literally dozens of companies out here as a company driver. Owner operating a truck isn't "just driving". That's a really stupid reason to buy a truck. The business is so much more beyond that. In case you missed it, the last thing anyone that just wants to drive should do is go dig themselves into a big money suck hole owner operating or lease scamming...

    Yes.

$600-$1,000 a year in transactions fees when most successful O/O are only netting about $10,000 more than they would as a company driver. And those aren't your prospective client base. Your client base is the large number of O/Os who make less than they would at any mega carrier.

All together your fees will be about 10% of gross revenue. There are much better options for those in need of your services.

    D.Tibbitt and Concorde Thank this.
