Agreed. 1 penny doesn't really move the needle. I don't think cpm is all that important unless its severely below market, and the average trucking company is falling between 55 and 65 cpm depending on experience level. It's a couple of outliers that may go above 65 but I'm not really speaking about them. I think freight availability is what matters, and I agree that Holland definitely looks the part, and from multiple drivers' posts on here, they have the freight availability. Just think, if he goes there and makes a nice impression, he will get to 60 cpm in no time!

These companies get one driver to break 100,000 a year and than they advertise like everyone will make that.

Delivered in Forest Park last night. Then tonight picked up in McDonough, GA going to Fort Worth, TX. 26 empty miles and 854 loaded. Gonna have to drive into the night tonight to make it on time. They want me in Fort Worth on Thursday at 7am.

Delivered in Fort Worth yesterday and drove up to Denton to shut down until this morning when I got loaded with a two stopper, one in Dallas and one in Columbus, OH. Delivered the one in Dallas today and even got out of there before my appointment time luckily. 39 empty miles and 1080 loaded. I've been getting a lot shorter hauls since my last home time and I'm starting to wonder if I pissed somebody off.

I delivered in Columbus Sunday night then had to park it until this morning because of labor day. Today I got loaded in Columbus for a load going to Cocoa, FL. It was very close to my previous delivery so no paid empty miles. 958 loaded miles.

Forgot to update again. I got empty in Cocoa on Thursday and deadheaded to Umatilla, FL for my next pickup. The load info said the pickup was Saturday at midnight and it's a drop and hook but to go in as soon as I can since the customer needs empties. They told me they might just be able to load my trailer and to stay hooked to it until they decide. They had overnight parking so I got comfortable. Next morning they woke me up around 7 or 8 and gave me a dock to get loaded. This load is going to Woodburn, OR. The full information didn't come through on my tablet so I don't know the exact paid empty miles, but it was around 90 miles and 3052 loaded.

I worked for Holland for over a year. You can't go wrong there. I had to leave because of a change in family and now work for a small company doing regional stuff. If things change down the road I would definitely go back. I miss the long runs out west. Now all I do is fight traffic but that's the price for being home more.
