Now we're going to remove the cover but the camera is not going to be on the driver ..so they say.. but AI technology is using the lens to coach us while we drive.. Oh Yay! Alright so Driver Appreciation Week just wrapped up and I'll give my company credit, it wasn't bad.

No big speech from the office, nobody personally came around and said hey we see you out there. But honestly I'm not really looking for that. Here's an observation.
What they DID do, threw up some appreciation posters around the yard, set up a QR code where drivers could go order a company jacket and shirt. About a hundred bucks worth of gear which is actually pretty solid.

Driver's lounge was stocked up with snacks and water all week which the local guys probably enjoyed more than us OTR guys since we're never around long enough to take advantage of it.

I've seen worse. I've seen better. Some companies go all out, lunches, gift cards, the whole deal. Some don't even acknowledge it exists.

At the end of the day the miles still gotta get covered and the loads still gotta deliver whether it's appreciation week or not. Right??

How did your company handle it this year? Anyone get anything worth talking about?

We at Crete/Shaffer got this Money clip along with some other items as well..

They’re doing this for the discount on insurance. The writing is on the wall bud. I give ADS another 2-3 years before they shut down distribution and go third party. They’ve already merged multiple planning/logistics regions. They’re running out of fat to trim

It does seem that way. They have totally abandoned the old way of doing business taking care of the driver. The whole point of calling us Ambassadors was that we represent the company give the driver a full support in every way you can and the business will thrive. Now non-existent. I'm hoping it'll get better, but either way, it is what it is.
