The dispatch note and rate confirmation show different delivery addresses. What do you do before the driver continues?
My approach: Before directing the driver to either location, I would confirm the correct address with the broker or customer's designated load contact. Then I'd update the load notes and have the driver confirm they received the corrected address. That check helps prevent a trip to the wrong receiver.
How would you handle this? What ideas or feedback would improve this approach?

Wow! That's fantastic! I've usually not thought about calling receivers until I'm there and they're not.
I'll try this new technique and report back.
Thanks so much for thinking outside the boxGatordude, Star Rider, Cdemars316 and 10 others Thank this. -
As long as you’re being open to new ideas lemme throw this one at you. Before I do any of this, and start the truck, I’ll put the key in the ignition. It’s a game changer!Gatordude, Star Rider, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this.

So much information in one day. Not sure I can handle it. So many times I've started the truck without the key in the ignition. Dmbass me!

Wait a minute… so you’re the one who did this.
How long did it take you to figure out that you were in the wrong truck?Gatordude, Star Rider, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -
Sorry. I've quit drinking since then, and I parked it back where I found it. I was three miles down the road before I figured out why I couldn't get it in the high side.Gatordude, Star Rider, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this.

I follow bill of lading , first , but check with my leaders . Have actually had this problem before . Delivery to an office building yeah right . Google helps a lot and also any other satellite views . Also be careful of the current issue of brokers lying to you through their butt .
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Back when I was still driving trucks with Armstrong steering, I would stop at a truckstop or rest area and drop a coin in a black box and ask the receiver if there was any low underpasses to avoid, or a particular route into the their location. Now I have power steering, a/c and the black box doesn’t have a coin slot but the process still works after all these years….

Common occurance in the flatbed world. Just wait til they send u gps coordinates thats like a 40 min drive offroad when u leave the highway and no cell service at the jobsite. Funny enough gps coordinates have never led me wrong but jobsite directions over the phone ive gotten lost most of the times after i miss the yellow mailbox because it was painted orange and the tree that burned down in 1962 i was supposed to turn left at was taken away by the landscapers last week .. just drop me a pin bro ill figure it out from thereGatordude, Star Rider, Cdemars316 and 1 other person Thank this.

The best thing about that, is usually the broker wants a copy of the signed pod immediately and will start getting pissy about not receiving it right after. It's usually the same broker that is calling, texting and emailing you non stop for updates even though they have three different apps that are tracking your movements.Gatordude, Star Rider and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
