Saw almost the same thing today on I-75 SB in Florida, somewhere near Gainesville, I think. Flatbedder rear ended another driver, all of his plastic pipe shifted forward. Safe following distance is for rookies, I guess. Even in rain.

 

The bill for 2 wreckers ain't gonna be cheap.

 

Even not doing safe following distance is ZERO excuse for your crap to shift . If your trailer cannot go 1500 feet down a cliff with your cargo still secured , you failed as an operator .

 

Right. If you end up dead and that load doesn't budge you still win operator of the year
