I never said merging traffic had the right of way. I said just because you have the right of way doesn't mean you have to stay bullheaded and force the issue. Slowing down is the right thing to do but a lot of you drivers would run over your mother before you lifted off of your 65 mph governor lol. It's called courtesy and it's lacking out here amongst so called professionals as much as it is the motoring public. Creating congestion by slowing down to allow someone in? I think I've heard it all now.

Let me put it this way - if you see a situation developing where an accident might happen and you have the right of way but you don't yield it then an accident results, did you win a prize?
-
If you keep speaking the truth like that people are going to stop calling you Mr. Sarcasm.
And you forgot to mention the 45 MPH speed limit in the neverending construction zones.Last edited: May 1, 2026
Lonesome Thanks this. -
How did you leave? Did they help get you home or did you get yourself home? How did it work out, I’m about to be leaving and want to know what I’m in for when I tell them.
-
I basically took medical leave and then quiet quit. I live fairly locally so getting home wasn’t an issue. I do know when I quit my prior company out of ND I got a rental car on my own terms. I wouldn’t expect them to get you home. I would just make your own arrangements.TB John, Lonesome and navypoppop Thank this.

How things are advertised and how things really are, are rarely the same. Got burned with Crete on that fact. YouTube channels promoting Crete made me try them. But my experience there was nothing short of awful. That’s how it goes I guessBeHereNow97, mjd4277 and Bumper Thank this.

I think they got a company shill on there doing driving on youtube if you know who I'm talking about. Really though I've talked to a handful of Crete drivers over the years and many had been there a while and seemed "ok" with them..they seem to be one of the better megas but you know more than me since u worked theretrucker-chase Thanks this.

Yup, that’s probably the same guy. TheJoyOfTrucking channel. Nothing against them, it’s great they’re doing so well, but the pampered experience Crete gives them was far, far, far from how Crete treated me. I guess if I brought in so many referrals and business, Crete would’ve treated me better lol.
Crete’s a big company. Easy to have a good time there, or not. Just depends on how lucky you are. I should’ve quit when my assigned truck was filthy and OOS. Took two days right out of orientation to get my truck fixed. I had to detail it myself. Half my orientation class had serious truck issues. One guy made them change truck assignments twice. They held another driver over his prescription medication, demanding some sort of additional release or proof or whatever directly from his doctor.
Walmart Dedicated out of Cheyenne, WY was a good ride but I signed up for national dry van, and national treated me like a rented mule. Lots of sitting and zero communication, before an inevitable toss to another Walmart DC to “help out.” I was rushed out of hometime for a load that wouldn’t load until midnight and delivered 2.5 hours down the road at 9AM the next morning. Sat all day waiting for an empty. Finally got sent on a wild empty chase that never got me one. Lost that load, got another going to Houston. Delivered, sat in Houston for two days waiting for my next assignment, wondering wth.
Got sent to Oklahoma, then to their DC account in North Platte, Nebraska. Figured it wouldn’t be too bad since Cheyenne was good. Nope. Horrible, worse than national. Sit 20 hours just to get a 300 mile round trip load. That was that all week. Last day they gave me a last minute load that had to leave the yard ASAP. By the time I got stirred around and to the office for the paperwork, they had pulled it. Really pissed me off, so I had a conversation with them about being set out to dry all week and then treated like a turd for not getting the load through the gate in 40 minutes. They wouldn’t listen, they didn’t care. That was the last straw for me.
When I quit they refused to pay reimburse me for fuel and the mandatory locks they force you to buy. And they charged me $300 for detailing their truck. I detailed it myself, it was far cleaner than how they gave it to me. They still took that money.
Never again.Toomanybikes, BeHereNow97, hope not dumb twucker and 4 others Thank this. -
Reimbursed for fuel?? And load locks as a company driver? Yes hit me up for my driver code and having a YouTube channel, sure he is getting some special treatment. I hope you found something decent since thenBeHereNow97 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
