I agree and I think about stuff like that. Are the leafs shorter on a 359 vs a 379? I put in new leafs in '24 and #### are they stiff and ride like hell. Im going to pull the bottom leaf, but talking to the spring shop, we think it'll only drop the front an inch because the spring rate is so high. So when the stars align and Im able to bag the front, I think Im gonna have to swap the front leafs with a mono spring that has a way lower rate.
My biggest obstacle currently is having a horrible place to work on my truck. Dirt driveway that isnt level, isnt conducive to jacking it up and pulling suspension parts. Ive really screwed myself living where I live.

98% of my work, including my first air ride front suspension, gets done in a gravel parking lot.
I bummed a bay off of a friend this time because cutting and shortening a frame would be tough in that gravel parking lot.
A original 359 front spring doesn’t share any dimensions with a 379 or 389 front spring, except for a 359 and many 379’s use a 1.25” diameter front spring pin.farmerjohn64, CAXPT, cke and 10 others Thank this. -
Unfortunately nothing about my driveway is flat. I dont own this property so I have zero interest in putting any money into improving it, even though I really should. My solution is to move, which unfortunately is long overdue.
Edit: It seems you're about 150mi from where my dads family is from, in Cadiz/Golden Pond/LBL area. Had a decent farm or over there just N of Ft Campbell. I unfortunately wasn't smart enough to keep it.farmerjohn64, Big Road Skateboard, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this. -
