    Really?

Tell me more. My offers are getting laughed at. Shippers around here aren't having trouble moving most flat freight for $3.50

I was over $3/pm this week but not nearly the 4 plus I was seeing a few weeks ago when the fuel first spiked.

Paid $5.60 for fuel on Monday in Cleveland OH. Everywhere between home (Tennessee) and there it was much higher. I know where I live and run a lot (Southeast) fuel is cheaper but I've never seen it cheap like it was in the Cleveland area a few days ago.

Is this normal? I usually avoid buying fuel anywhere north of Kentucky at all costs.

Well I done ####ed up pretty good this week, sitting out in Washington and my load cancelled, no biggie I have a couple other options, start making calls and I’ve got nothing, so over to the board we go, I’ll grab a TQL to get home with

Last load I did for them was 5 years ago, have to redo account which is up to 24 hours for truck stop to verify everything, so I guess I’m eating and drinking good out here for the weekend,

    OlegMel Thanks this.

What's your deadhead percentage or all-miles average? With a flatbed at 25% DH, it's $3.62 - 25% =$2.72, fuel at 7 mpg and $6 (counting discount) is $0.86/mi. So, $2.72 - 0.86 - 0.65/mi (wage) is $1.21 for all other expenses (truck, trailer, APU, tires, insurance. At 100k miles/yr, all other expenses have to be under $121k per year. Can you do that? I think most can.
