I had been getting excited to maybe work for WS after i finished school, however the week before i finished the school offered me a company driver position with their company (foodlink), might only be for 6 months so i asked Kristi (think thats right) if i could defer my application. WS still seems like the best company after a lot of research and still seems like the regulars here are getting the miles.
Best of luck to you all and maybe one day soon I'll be behind the wheel of WS Volvo.

Well, due to "crossed wires" with the shop, I'm not on the road today...they said they were told I wasn't leaving until next week.. Dispatch talked to them and they said they would try to expedite it...just got off the phone with them, and still won't be ready until "hopefully sometime tomorrow". On the positive side, at least I get to sleep at home for another nite or 2....

Yeah, but you didnt win the lotto because you're drooling over driving a truck again.

I won't lie it was a good experiance and it took me to what I have been doing since 99. The only reason I came here was because my work was a little slow so I jumped on here because W/S has a term in my city and to see whats new with the industry. My work is back to normal now and want to stay in touch with some of the people I met on here. Also this is a great forum, lot of posts with responses while other forums seem too slow for me.

Warp, Which shop are you in? What was wrong with your truck? What do you drive? Sorry for the forty questions... LOL

Deserted1 Are you out there running hard and that is why we have not heard from you in a few days? Take Care. TD. -
I had a laundry list of things; a crack in one of my brake chambers, my engine ecu message kept coming on every day, the apu was not working, and a few other things. I drive an '05 Volvo with about 623,000 miles on it. I am out of the SFS shop, and to be fair to them, they have been swamped this week. There were so many trucks there when I got here last week there almost wasn't room to park the bobtail....
Hopefully it will be fixed today, they already have a preplan for me to Idaho Falls... -
What's the possibility of swaping trucks? When one of mine would go down for a few days I'd say it's unexceptable because I want to keep working so I'd move my stuff over into another rig and get moving. It couldn't be much worst since you're in one of the oldest trucks in the OTR fleet. But then again you're having the work done near your home so I dont think I'd be bothered by the wait either as compared to Missoula.

Hope it stays busy for you. But if you ever get some more recent driving exp. there's a few local options in your town you could move onto that pay fairly when they've got openings.Znine Thanks this. -
