A biker friend and I took an early ride to see the sun come up from the coast. He stopped at Walmart for an energy drink. We’re standing in front of the store. A guy walks by towards a woman and her 7-8 year old daughter.
Suddenly he reaches out to grab the little girl. Mom wasn’t paying attention. The little girl runs to the other side of her mom. Mom turns around stunned. Broad daylight. It took me a moment to realize that they didn’t know that guy. The guy gets into the passenger side of the white minivan. Driver is sitting there waiting and the grabby guy is sitting with the doors open.

Wow that dont sound good at all. As much as ive followed to coverage about the war and diesel getting shipped seemed like as long as things got a little better the whole situation would improve. The supply really must be running out now. Not sure what the angle would be to squeeze our whole country on diesel but i guess we'll find out when someone drops a nuke and were all dead

Part of the issue in the Midwest is due to planned maintenance. Coffeyville KS and El Dorado KS shut down for two weeks. That really put a pinch on everything when it was already tight, but when refineries are running over 90% capacity they don’t want to defer any maintenance to later. That affected the pipelines going north. According to the operators at the racks I load at there is some product flowing but they’re sending it farther north and bypassing everything here. All I can think is keep things in the Dakotas a little above empty and it’s easier to catch up down here closer to the refineries once they’re back online. Paychecks are good but that comes at the expense of lost sleep.Big Road Skateboard, sawmill, Old_n_gray and 13 others Thank this.
