You might be interested to know that the .05c that they reduced starting pay by a while back, .03 of it is going to be returned on July 1st....as far as I can work out anyone hired in between the time they reduced that starting rate will have that .03 given back to them and anyone hiring in after July 1st will get that raise too......
JediTrucker and bluv37 Thank this. -

read page 4, post 31. it is the first post on the page. it tells you about the fitness test. here is a copy of the email i was sent yesterday.
Robert: let me know if you have any questions-
General Information:
-We do try to get you home once during your eight weeks of training. It will fall somewhere in the middle (give or take) and it is for a 4 day maximum. Once the training has been completed, the trainer will drop you off in Lincoln, NE and at that time you will go through 2 days of orientation. Once the orientation class has been completed, we will get you to an available truck, and from there we will route you home as soon as possible to get you some home time and so you can pick up the rest of your belongings for your own truck.
-You will be required to purchase a King Pin/Rear Door Lock in Orientation (which is after your eight weeks of training)
-Expected idle time is 30% or less-so you want to try to keep idling the truck to a minimum whenever possible
-Your insurance benefits will start one full calendar month after the month you are hired. For example, if you are hired in December, your benefits would begin February 1.
-Pay day is every Thursday. You can have it directly deposited in up to two different accounts of your own or you can also have it sent to your Com-data card (fuel card) if you choose.
-Pet Policy-NO PETS!!
**On Monday you will be doing a drug screen, physical, pre-work screen (series of physical activities to make sure you can physically perform the duties of the job) and a road test. It does take 2-3 days to get the results back on the drug screen, so there will be a little waiting before we get you going with your trainer. We will get a trainer through the terminal as quickly as possible once we get the results for the drug screen.***
For the Prework Screen:
- Wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing to perform the screen.
- Your blood pressure and heart rate will be taken, so please refrain from smoking and drinking caffeine drinks prior to your scheduled appointment.
- If you are on blood pressure medication, be sure and take according to your prescription. If your blood pressure exceeds employer guidelines, you will automatically fail the screen and must be released by your personal physician within 20 days before you can be re-tested.
- As part of your screen, you may perform different types of lifting, so we recommend that you do not perform the screen on an empty stomach.
Please plan on being at the Knoxville terminal on Monday June 14 @0800am
