Well 12 hours from now I will be waking up heading to the airport for my flight to Missoula. I chose to fly instead of being on a bus for 1 day 10 hours I think the time was. I was given the option to get a Greyhound bus ticket paid by Watkins and Shepard or to purchase my plane ticket and be reimbursed for the amount of the bus ticket once I arrived to the orientation.
I will give a short history for those who this will be there first thread to read. I live in Arizona, I was scheduled to being W/S 30 day training on May 1st, it is my understanding that was supposed to be the 1st class in a few months at W/S. Well the training was cancelled so Roxy my recruiter helped me with a list of AUTHORIZED school in the Phoenix are to attend. I chose Western Truck School it met all the requirements for W/S. I finished school on May 20 got my CDL and waited for the next 10 day class to start at W/S.
I am excited to get going. Ray who was the other guy from my class, went to May in Phoenix last Monday with no luck so got back in touch with Roxy and he was approve Thursday, by then the plane ticket was over 500 bucks so he took the bus he left for Missoula this morning at 1:30am. During school he told me he had a great feeling about May, I tried to warn him. We will also be rooming together.
I will be brining my laptop so I hope to have the ability to post updates daily beginning tomorrow upon my arrival. My buddy Ray will be there before me he arrives at 6:30am I get in at 11:20am.
Until tomorrow. (I hope)

Hey CAGEtrucker, what happened w/ May?? Looking forward to your updates with W/S~ Liteguy -
What happened to Ray at May? Sounds like he is getting punished on the loser crusier. I only say that because I find myself riding it because of my job as well every so often. Lucky for about 3 very long hours.

Good luck with training. I finished the 10 day course the week before last, and have been bouncing around the South since. Be sure to take advantage of the training trucks after hours. I was still shaky on backing, and spending an hour or so a night practicing helped immensely.
wulfman75 and CAGEtrucker Thank this. -

Also, hate to say this buuuuuuut.. dont worry too much about their being 12 people and you not being able to touch the trucks after hours. There's more than likely from what I've seen in the past going to be a few who think they know it all and will be goofing off instead. They'll be weeded out along with those who snuck through the cracks along the way. You should be just fine. Just listen to what they say.
soon2betrucking and wulfman75 Thank this. -
Thanks BIS, I just talked to my buddy Ray and another guy on his way to Watkins got on the bus in Salt Lake. He is from the LA area.
