Has anyone drove for Taylor Truck Lines or heard anything about this company?

 

what kind of frieghtliners do they have and volvos and how hard is the lease

 

I'm also looking into them as a potential employer, however, I do have a bit of concerns, mainly on these:

Looking at their safeStat information, they here is what I've found:
An ISS of 89, (a bit High)
an SEA / DRSEA of 95.38 ,
several of their recent drivers had been placed OoS due to falsifying logs or exceeding either the 11 or 14 hr rule
They've been fined for Fire Extinguisher violations, airbrake violations, Tire Issues, BRAKE CONNECTIONS WITH LEAKS/CONSTRICTIONS, just to name a few within the past year alone.

Their ability of getting drivers home - especially when their drivers are from the deep SE.

Now don't get me wrong here, I'm NOT saying they're a bad company, I'm just a bit concerned.

 

I considered Taylor but found out they have a 90 something on their safestat. other than that they looked pretty good. I have a good driving record and dont want to be a moving target. Still thinking about it.

 

found that same thing on them this morning looking to go to work for them this week. Figured I would see what I was able to find on them b4 i went. Was going to do a Lease Purchase with them. Just need some more info on them. Told me that they do e-logs figured thats why they doing that for all the violations on the book

 

taylor isnt a bad company if u live in or around MN..

 

Transport21 leases trucks to drivers at the listed companies. I am going to Overbye but am brining over my own truck. I have worked for the owner in the past, so I have a good feeling about them.

 

i take that back, they sux..dont care about drivers or family just there loads...when ur out they give u short miles, when its time too go home they give u long miles so u will stay out longer...and there is alot more just ask..

 

I figured that out I called them in Jan and asked to see the L/P agreement. They wanted 10k for maintence escrow 5k for another escrow, the recruiter kept calling me after i told him to give us a few days to look things over. Sent him a email and asked him if anyone actually finishes the lease? Told me yep asked again whats the % of people that complete couldn't answer the simple ?'s I had asked.

So I told them if I come to you I wont pay that amount for the maintence told him that is outrageous one payment that wouldn't go away for 4 yrs. Also asked him about the maintence fund do I get that back told me he wasnt for sure. but kept asking when i was coming up for oreintation. Told him not interested. I hung my class A up for a awhile seems to me all the companies are doin the same thing tell you one thing and hiding something else..

 

Most of them dont finish, they sell u a good lie too get u there but never stand behind what they say..I went their because they made a good sell, i ask too stay in the south cause my dad was dying with cancer, i was told it would'nt be a problem..I started in jun 2010 while i was in Chicago(3/14.. tellin them i need too get south that my dad wasnt doin good, they were tryin too send me 2 MN..I had too threaten them too get home..that was on monday my dad died on wed 3/16/11 while i was in the hospital with chest pains from the stress they caused and all they were worried about was the truck...They finally got me a load to Nashville on thursday and expected me too del it, i had to rent a car to get home and was told by my F.M. too clean my truck out.. I got home on fri mornin...I hav reported them too labor board... I hav sum friends there who are also reportin them for the way they treat drivers...
