1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    I would the following:

US Xpress Enterprises as they have dedicated in GA
Schneider: You said regional but if you get your foot in the door you can get regional. Roehl is another one. Also try Millis Transfer. Good luck.

there are more flatbed outfits in your area then there are in mine.

The only flatbedders that hire students up here are TMC and Roehl Flatbed. But down there you have lots more options. Just do a google search and you'll find your answers.

give Crete Carrier a shot. they have a terminal right there in Marietta. give them a call. training is 8 weeks at 500 a week, then its .34 cents a mile after training. i am going with the sister company, Shaffer. they pull reefer freight. Crete/Shaffer accepted me fresh out of school, and i start 6-7-2010. the only way that Crete/Shaffer/Hunt hires students out of school is if they attended a PTDI certified course of at least 160 hours, and i believe you have to be in the top 5% of your graduating class.

Star Transport out of Morton Illinois is another one for newbies (350 a week for training, then .26 cents a mile. 4 to 6 weeks, 8 weeks max) as is Rosedale Transport in Dalton Georgia and USA Truck as well.

TMC takes new hires for flatbedding, but they have one hell of a training period. 2 weeks of classes before you ever get in a truck with your trainer.,

be careful researching Star, there are 2 companies that have a similar name. the Star from Illinois has a RED logo on the tractors and trailers, and the other Star has a blue logo and is owned by Covenant. they are located in memphis i believe. i would avoid them at all costs.
