How strict are they on the WB restrictions ?? I pull a 53' van and my tractor has a 244" WB but I'm considering upgrading to a newer truck and I've seen a few nice ones that had a 252" WB.

I believe the 244 tractor 53 van is the limit for western provinces (west of Ontario).

Avoid the Putnam scales and you should be ok.Sarnia will also write you up if over 244.I'm well over 244 and I just avoid all Ontario scales.

I will probably go with a 387 or KW T800 and stay safe with the 244" WB. They could decide to crack down and then I'd be out of luck !!!

New Brunswick also enforces 244" unless your truck was built before Jan. 1st 1966.
