Wife has started a business giving day tours of the most beautiful areas of Idaho to truck drivers and elderly. She does photography and sends them a dvd slide show of their trip as a great memory. There is so much awesome scenery in Idaho you can not even believe!!! Some of the best is around Mountain Home and Twin Falls area. Fishing is fantastic, hunting is fantastic!!! It really is unbelieveable.![]()

The yard sign...
Ralph, My neighbor is a "lefty" of sorts (Obama bumper stickers, gung-ho socialized medicine, "guns should be banned", etc.). So a couple months ago I put this sign up in my yard after one of his anti-gun rants at a neighborhood ####tail party.
The sign wasn't up more than an hour before he called the police and wanted them to make me take down the sign.
Fortunately, the officer politely informed him that it was not their job to take such action without a court order and that he had to file a complaint "downtown" first, which would be reviewed by the city attorney to see if it violated any city, county, or state ordinances, which if there was a violation a court order would be sent to the offending party (me) to "remove the sign in seven days".
After several weeks he was informed that the sign was legal (by a quarter of an inch) and there was nothing the city could do, which obviously made him madder.
I tried to smooth things over by inviting him to go shooting with me and my friends at the hunt club but that seemed to make him even more angry. I then asked him if he wanted to go to a Tea Party rally but again he declined my outreach efforts to bring about a better understanding between political and social opponents.
I am at a loss how to reconcile our long relationship (notice I did not say friendship), any suggestions would be welcome.
Anyway, that's life in our neck of the woods, how's about yours? Check out the picture of sign here.... Hope this works, it is awesome!!!!

Ya.. I worked about 28 days straight on my last set of hours.. I then came to a road block of around 4 to 5 hour days.. So I took a awesome 34 on payday.. But either way.. I know how to run my hours.. But I figured I needed a 34.. I just like complaining to someone other than the old lady.. That's why your here mike.. Lol.
Shoot.. My last week.. My w9 averged 7.4 mpg.. Don't ask me how.. But it did.. So far with my 3 loads.. I'm at 6.2 mpg now.. That's a worlds diffrence on my pocket book and ego.. Much better than my previous 4.3mpg. -
My prostar averages high 7's. Had one 8.1 week and one 6.9. I drive her as fast as she'll go when conditions are good.
Decided to do a 34 since the load to WVC got repowered. Already sitting at 3000 and got preset for another 600. 3600 will make a nice week with a 34 thrown in the mix. -
The coupon is good at three casinos in Wendover. The Rainbow is just across the street and is the only one I've been to. They do have a shuttle to the other two. I don't remember the names of the other two. The facility is operated by the casinos. I think they're all owned by the same company.

I think those drivers stay mostly in the plains states where its all flat. But who am i to call them a liar...
-
I wouldnt say alot It is about 1k more on paper and you are also banking on your presets come one right after the other which happens rarely. 70 hrs - 3.5 hrs (pre/post trip) = 66.5 hrs x 60 mph = 3990 miles and that's without all the other line 4 activities that we are supposed to log but some people do not. I would estimate that with perfect dispatching someone would drive about 3k a week and thats with all the line 4 junk.
The way central dispatches it's not worth it to run that hard. You wont typically get your next load until the afternoon that you deliver (if am delivery) or next morning (night delivery). When you DO get the next load it doesnt pick up until about 8-12 hours later. I dont really blame central for it... i put more blame on the drivers that consistently service fail because they dont know how to manage their time. If I were customer service and dont want to get stuck in a broken promise, i would do the same thing. To us, 34 hours isnt long, but to a dispatcher it's an eternity and they need to get that load moving asap. A friend of mine used to dispatch for an air freight company. He used to skip the whining drivers and couldn't assign loads to drivers on their 34 because they couldnt even at least pick the load up on time which still makes the company look bad. In air freight, it's hardly ever preloads so there is no drop n hook like we have. My thing is availability and deal with the miles later. -
you F-ER!!!!

Well im busting out my grill in front of the england rail trl next to me in the stockton drop yard and cooking up a steak.
