Sort of like a trophey wife. What are the best jobs out there from a cool and interesting stand point?

As an example I got passed by these guys twice on I 80 in the last 2 days. They were running at least 75. 3 identical trucks. Hauling these high dollar horses around would be cool. Someone hauls all the NFL stuff to games each week too

    Yes indeed I did.

Rule number one of being a part of the Clydesdales team is that you are not a truck driver.

There's a lot of work involved in that "trophy job". There's also a bunch of travel time. Most of the traveling hitches are away from home for 10-11 months at a time. The only real time off you get is vacation time. Long hours, lots of cleaning and polishing, but it was the best money I've ever made. I only made it through two months with that gig, but I made over $7,000 in that time not counting the $2500 relocation/sign on bonus I got.

Here's a couple pics of me working with the horses:

those animals are enormous! So, if you get stuck, do you just hook a couple horses to your tow hook!? ;)

Those horses are so spoiled they can barely pull the wagon used in shows.

Not to mention the Busch family would probably castrate the first man who admitted to doing such a thing.

really? that's extremely upsetting. Huge creatures like that that are pampered so much they're not even usefull. (sounds like the people in our government, oohhhhh snap)

But seriously, I understand that they're a corporate ICON, but c'mon. They're HORSES. Let them run around, build their muscle, be ANIMALS...
It's like the guy who spends millions of dollars on classic and rare cars only to park them in a shed and call it a "museum". They were build to be driven, and horses were built to work.

All the horses that are on the traveling hitches are geldings and spend 90% of their life in a 10'x10' stall. They train the hitch horses in Ft. Collins, CO (or at least they did when I worked there back in '06). Most of that training is having the horses stand in a narrow stall for 8-10 hours in all their hitch tack with a handler there making sure they "stand at attention" the whole time.

Whenever we were doing a parade or any event with the wagon hitched up, we handlers would walk along side the horses keeping them from moving their heads too much or getting them to stand straight when stopped.
