Boy this profession really can get on ones nerves sometimes. I got home Sunday and have all my pre-plans for the rest of the week. So what happens? I go to start my truck up today and nothing, zilch, nada dead. Now last week on my way back to the terminal I had some issue with my A/C (fixed and COLD), and it needed a service (done), also I was smelling an awful smell that smelled like rotten eggs. I wrote the truck up and got it back with everything fixed, so I thought. To make a long story short, the rotten egg smell was 2 of my batteries had gotten fried and the smell was acid burning. Well as I write this road service has just replaced all four batteries and I'm good to go. I'll be up in Orlando around 10pm to start my week. I'll check in during the week. Be safe all, God Bless!

My week hasn't been too bad. I stayed out for the holiday since my truck had to go in the shop first thing Tuesday. I got a loaner and did local runs. I got mine back today and ran 2 local runs, hooked to a reefer now, gotta go to jessup, pa and they gotta finish loading this trailer then I'm off to nazarath, pa. There is 1 thing and I'm not sure about it. I went to fuel the truck and the one tank was empty and the other was full. Is there a valve they could have shut off and forgot to turn back on? Has me puzzled.

Hey guys just checking in to say hi. Tomorrow is the last day at my current place, and I should be on with Calex on the 16th. Have the Physical and whiz quiz is all. Then a few days in Tennessee for a music festival and ready to roll when I get back. Looking forward to it. Where do you all keep your trucks on home time?

Well if your close to the terminal within an hr or so, they prefer it parked at the yard. But since some of us don't live close by, we take ours home

Well I'm back home. I left last Wednesday night and drove up to Orlando to unload 5am Thursday. I was empty by 6am and on my way to Jacksonville to reload. I was done in Jacksonville at 11am and headed to Spartanburg SC to unload as soon as I get there. I got to the consignee at 8pm and was empty by 8:30. I then dead headed to Greenville for a drop and hook and was done there at 10pm. I headed over to the T/A at the 63 mm and took my 10 hour break. I woke up early Friday and got to Mountaintop PA at 8:30 and dropped my loaded trailer at the dock, got my papers signed then drove to the terminal for fuel and my 10 hour break. I was already dispatched Friday morning to pick up a loaded trailer in Lewisburg PA for a load that delivers in Hollywood Florida Tuesday morning. My miles for the week are a little light (2600), but I was only gone 4 1/2 days. Louie told me Friday that be ready to load as soon as I get empty. He said I'll be going west this coming week. I hope so, it's a little tiring with all these loads and unloads. I need a nice 5 day trip out west with one pick and one drop. I seem to get alot of rest running coast to coast....lol.

Hey John!
Sure enjoying the thread. Calex seems like a dream come true compared to most outfits! Too bad they can't do some training classes for the rest of the carriers out here! I was wondering if Calex gets any loads through Kansas City, MO. I live in KC-MO and would sure like to talk to Mort if so. Have 2 years exp. Does it all have to be in the last 3 years? I am originally from CA/AZ so know both states like the back of my hand! Would love to run out west and back!
Thanks for the enjoyment of your thread! Look forward to reading all the time.
DavidJohnBoy Thanks this. -
