Although this also effects truckers, I am posting it in the non-trucking news section.
The full ruling can be viewed here
This does NOT bode well for anyone driving in the state of Ohio.
As a trucker you can possibly lose your job over a LEOs "guess".

This is nothing new.
-
It's new in Ohio. -
No it isn't. You just didn't know about it. Maybe back then they couldn't ticket you for it but its still the same. I'd also bet you wouldn't get a ticket now either. They just use it as a reason to pull you over.
-
The ruling in question is indeed NEW to Ohio.
It was made 2 #### days ago. -
Its bull sheyat is what it is.
Eventually that will go to the state or even the US supreme court. Cops are human too and have "off" days. No way are they accurate 100% of the time. Even tho you'll find plenty of them that would tell you other wise. -
Guess what state will have to catch my bike? I hope they have the helicopters in the air already when they see me appearing to go too fast.
-
Your missing the point. Its always been this way they just never wrote tickets. Like I said before, its most likely they won't write many if any. Like Brickman said, everyone has an off day and don't think the state don't know that.
Anyway, why get so excited? They could've pulled anyone over at anytime saying they looked like they were going to fast and write you up for anythign they want. Personally I think this is aimed more toward cars than anything.
Sorry jeepskate, but this is a stupid statement. Is your bike faster than radio waves? No. Is your life worth losing over a speeding ticket? I hope not. -
No. But twice as fast as the car responding to the radio call. That's what you have to outrun. They can't stop my bike with radio waves, yet.
But also, you have to be able to spot when someone says something absurd in regards to something else absurd. I know around here it's really hard to tell sometimes though. I won't run. Ohio has nothing to offer me so I wouldn't even be there but in my younger days, I ran alot. Still have a squeaky clean license too. They can radio ahead but when they can't see the bike anymore, what do they tell the other guys? I am in pursuit of a bike that went somewhere? LMAO
