Greetings ladies and germs....
I must be a dork. I thought I remembered reading about disabling and EGR in this forum, but maybe I'm dreaming.
I've got an Cummins ISX 475. The EGR has been replaced with an upgraded unit, but I want to research disabling it all together. I believe I remember reading doing so may increase my mpg's a tad. I don't however care to look at a "check engine" light if disabling with cause that to happen.
Is doing this major surgery? Will it harm my truck at all?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I can tell you where it's at if you still want it.... Up in Minnesota at a Pete dealership....
She was starting to throw codes, running weird and mpg all over the place. It was either overhaul or take the overhaul $$ and apply to a newer truck with less miles (pretty much anything has less than 1,016,000 miles).
An overhaul would have cost twice as much as the truck was worth....
You want this Pete?
(but of course.....I'm kidding) -
I know this is a old post. But it’s all I could find. I have a 05 cummins isx. Can someone please tell me about the egr disable. Is it worth it. Will it cause problems for my engine. I tried opening the link posted but it wouldn’t let me.
