If your asking me ,I dont know anything about eagle other that the thread on here. As for KAG in florida its all kenan transport, one of the better parts of KAG from what I here.
A couple summers ago two kenan drivers came to toledo for a while to help out with work, they didnt have anything bad to say, but most fuelhaulers that stick with it probably wont ever do anything else.

Do you have any info on their terminals in north-east OH, in the Niles / Girard area ? Are they busy out of there ? Any idea what they pay, and their work schedule ?

How often do you need to work nights ? Does your start time change often ? Thanks.

north canton tranfer is the subsidiary in that area with a couple advantage terminals across the PA line.
NCT is from what I here the biggest part of KAG with a hot oil division and gas division. We share alot of work between advantage, toledo and NCT.
They get paid by the hour, dont know anything else.
We work set schedules,no swing shift, always the same start time.

    Graymist Thanks this.

How are their terminals at Leetonia, OH & Neville Island, PA, to work out of ? I've been told that the pay is $15.80/hr for the afternoon shift, subject to review after 6 months. Any idea what kind of hours / earnings one may expect ? Thanks.

Well if thats what they get paid then about 55 hours a week will make you a grand. I run in to some of there otr drivers when I go to chicago, been to neville island once with a load of ethanol, didnt really have a chance to talk to anyone.
Like I said earlier, terminals are run a little diff. depending on what the manager dictates.

    KAG in NC;
    Seniority means nothing
Pay is flat rate per load-not hourly
No pay increase in over 4 years.
No work schedule, no consistent start time-you might work at 6am one day and 8pm the next day
They will tell you to take a weekday off so you will have hours to work on the weekend
No scheduled time off-you ask for a weekend off you won't be told yes or no untill the day before
They have company drivers and owner operators all trying to get the best loads, Very big on friends and who you know dispatch
Safety bonus $$ was stopped, then we had safety points you could build up to buy Kenan branded stuff from an online store-that was also done away with.
When it gets busy they have "out of town drivers" come in from other terminals to work. They get a good run with a consistent start time working Mon-Fri/ weekends off-too bad the local terminal drivers can't get that!
Health insurance was good, they raised the cost and lowered the benefits and increased copays.
Have had many drivers smashing and crashing-

I would think twice about it-
Kenan was a good company before it became Kenan-Advantage

Hello emptypockets..here on SoCal had a secret election for a union representation. and WE WON. Now KAG will have to sit and negotiate in good faith a contract for all drivers and mechanics, we would like to see every KAG terminal stand up and demand the wages we deserve, after all is not water what we transport and our chances of walking away are very slim. search for kagdrivers site online and you will find out all about it. Let's speak up fellow tanker drivers..we are the best drivers on the road!

When I got into hauling gas in about 1991 I hired on with Citgo private fleet mainly hauling 7/11's around the South Bend/ Elkhart Indiana area. Citgo formed Petro Chemical Transport as a common carrier subsidiary they soon merged all us private fleet drivers in with P.C.T I wasn't real happy as we took a pay cut and lost a lot of benefits (plus I didn't really care for slip seating but then that's just me)Citgo completely got out of the trucking business and now P.C.T, is owned by KAG.Kag is a big outfit in this area and was taking a lot of work but that's all changed now Atlas Oil Transport out of Detroit has moved in and are playing the cutthroat rate game a lot of the KAG drivers are not to happy as they are losing a lot of work which is sad. The company I'm with now we started hauling their stores when I was with P.C.T temporarily because their driver had retired I talked to the owner he made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I hired on in 1993 been there ever since. It's a mom and pop company and we only have one transport and I pretty much run the truck as if it was mine. We are a Citgo jobber and have 7 stores a bulk plant and I have several outside accounts so it's enough to keep me busy. The beauty of this job is I haul all our own stores don't have to worry about another company coming in and cutting the rates and losing work except for maybe my outside accounts and so far they have been loyal to us.I park my truck at another trucking company right next several Advantge trucks that park there too and I know the drivers that I talk to seem to really like working for them just not to happy at present time at losing a lot of work to Atlas I wish all you KAG drives a lot of luck with the Teamsters I hope it works out in your best interest
