Okay I just left as a co. driver. Now work for someone else. STAY A COMPANY DRIVER!!! I drove a prostar and had the same problems with the Icon and the triangle and such. It is part of the prostar lol. Central will take care of you if you take care of them. Get a good DM and planner and you are good.

I never run to Miami. Usually I don't carry my passport, so I probably wouldn't be able to get back into the country from there. I've heard of a place down there, next to a biker bar that usually has a band. Don't know the name of it. I'm sure if ya got on the radio and asked someone would know.

Drop & hook??? Those are real? Thought they might be a trucker myth.

Well I was able to sneak back into the country from the Republic of Florida. Found some supertruckers who showed me an old dirt road to the border. Had to do a stream crossing, but the truck needed washed anyway. Spending the night in northern South Carolina (or is that the other way around?). My arrival at the 99 and my 14hr clock expiration were dancing with each other, so I decided to stop and split, can still make the delivery window. #### brokered chicken load they snuck in on me. Sneaky ########! I think I'm mainly haulin chicken blood instead of parts by the way it's leaking out of the trailer.

    DM... I heard one of them l/o's sayin that an A + B = $220 with labor.

yea.... i dont mind the 500 mile runs when its a one day. what im saying is...they won't take it early and they're giving me 3 days. its scheduled for 3. Dont know what dum#ss plans that.

I used to get the 500 and 600 mile runs for one day. or 1000+ for 2.

I called that Carl. Left message twice. he never got back with me.

    Anyway thanks for the responses.

The facade is wearing off there mikley, they will all figure it out soon lol.

    Anyway.
I was talking to a Cummins mechanic the other day about the DPF service they have been doing, and if it was common or an issue.
He said it has been relegated to the maintenance issue criteria. Meaning that they are not looking at it as a problem, but as a standard maintenance item.
What they do is take the fuel injector out of the turbo (yes there is one there on 07 and later engines) and they clean it out or replace it. Then run a parked regen.
He did mine the other day at 160k miles, and he said mine was plugged off already. So was not working properly to do a proper regen.
If you do not do the maintenance the DPF gets clogged off and you have to pay ALLOT to get it cleaned.
This seems like a maintenance item that just about anyone could do though to save some money. Maybe keep one injector on you and clean, and just swap them out. It seemed it was more dirty than bad.

Been talking to a guy about the purchase plan at my company. It is different. I am waiting for answers to a few more questions, but it seems like a decent program to make some decent money. Trucks need to be 8 years old or newer, so I can get max fuel economy if I can find a good pre-emissions truck. 03 or pre-order 04.
It is not like Centrals, you get the truck from a dealer and you can take it wherever you want. It is your lease with a 1 dollar payoff.
Not a program really for guys that want new trucks, but good for people that want to make good money and do not mind used.

Oh shoot yeah chrome, I would rather be in an older w9.. Be able to have a cat.. Not worry about regen bs and be able to run straights. Not to mention.. A used anything around 03 to 05 is runnin 20k.. Maybe a little less or more.

Yeah..thansk boot and mike.. I gotta replace my fuel filters in my truck too.. They seem to be clogged again.. I think its all this runnin 100mi on dead empty.. Suckin all the junk into em.. I'm only getting 5.4 again.. But came out of central, start and stop for 60 miles, chicago state and now in iowa.. Funny thing is.. Was at 5.0 in c state and moved up 5 tenths going thru these hills.. So I gotta pay the 80 for a and 165 for b not to mention an a for my apu.. There goes my mat. account..

If you haven't bought a trk stop book yet, you need to get one. They give ya all the stops and where their at.

Theres 2 trk stops in Miami, both are small, and both charge. On the turnpike, you'll find a rest stop just outside going north. On I 95, right at about 2 hrs, there's 2 peelots. There not that big and will fill up fast. Will also need to know how to blindside.
At that same exit, across the street from the 1st peelot and the adult store, there's another trk stop. When I was there, was plenty of parking but it did cost a whopping $5. Will have to go out to the trk to give you the exit and name of town tho. If your not going to be in Miami tonight, will send the info later tomorrow. Let me know.
My APU went tits up, so my company put me in a hotel. Cheap ### place but hey, clean sheets and can take a shower.
