I'm pretty sure the governor's wing of the federal pen has single rooms...special privileges and all for the "elite":biggrin_25511:

I hope he has to take showers with GP then. I also hope he dies for screwing hard working Americans by letting illegal immigrants get there CDLs with money and letting them get into a truck.

I'm in limbo right now. Moved up to IL chasing an internet woman. Biggest mistake I ever made. Now I have my stuff in storage in TN. I tried to change it over but they required two of...utility bills as proof of residency, car registration, lease agreement or mortgage, etc. Bunch of red tape.
Then I bought some land and got screwed after the title search come back that the 74 year old woman didn't own it. Now I have to sue the old bag to get my $1500 deposit back.

I finally got my car changed over. Now I can go get the CDL as soon as I get home again.

I now want to move out of IL when I get out. My wife is from NC and I like it there but I love winters. I was thinking about moving to north eastern (Lexington/Cinci OH area) because its cheaper then where I am from and definitly nicer. The only + to Chicago is it is a great freight place to live as a trucker because its the heart of the US and so much goes in out and through that city and the surounding areas.

There's just as many trucks rolling through the Cinci area as Chicago, IMO.

Naperville is super expensive, even for the Chicago area.

Tell me about it, lol. Anywhere west and north of Chicago is outragious. The average man there has a $400,000 home. I don't see how they can survive. They all must make $200K plus a year.

Illinois' cost of living is ridiculous compared to other states except maybe Cali and NY
After a few Chitown winters, you may not be so fond of them, lol
But yes, the loads pay very well leaving IL and there's a lot of them

LOL I grew up in Naperville and my parents also bought there house for about 160K where as it is now worth about 350K. My father does not make much more then a trucker driver does being a mechanic at ford. I mean heck I use to work in the snow because I would snowplow on the side of my union job I use to have. I made big money doing it and enjoyed it. Whether its 20 or -20 it has never bothered me at all.

The whole thing is though 10 minutes from my parents house where I grew up is the exit for weber rd off of I55. You all know that is one of the largest industrial park areas in the country. That area has anything and everything for shipping and receiving.

I did pick up a lot of loads in the Cinci area when I pulled a reefer for Prime. In and out of there usually once a weeks whether it was the Budweiser plant or frozen meats. I was always in there.

I'm very familiar with the area you're talking about. You're missing the point though. You don't need a huge industrial park near your house to get home often. You just need to live on a major freight lane.

There are two major interstates rolling through the Cincinnati and in any given day I'd be willing to bet that there's just as many OTR trucks rolling through there as there are rolling through the Windy.

I agree totally and another reason to leave the Chicagoland area is because all the people around there are idiots and where I am from act like there to good for everybody. O did I say they drive worse then anywhere I have ever been? And remember I live in CA right now because of the military so it says a lot about Naperville and the areas around it.
