RW the mechanic came out a couple of hours ago. He went to adjust the clutch and said that wasn't the problem. He got to fiddling with stuff and locked in the power divider. The truck moved so he said it's probably a divider problem and he drove it 8 miles to town. When he got there he called and said the right drive was smoking. Turns out the bearing went out which dropped and bound the axle. He's currently hunting an axle cause we need to haul fuel bad. The bosses have 36 wells and relifts and some of the early rice is being pumped up right now and alot of the later planted rice needs to be flushed to get it up. 7 Mouths all the best. That's an awesome deal.

    7mouths2feed and RW. Thank this.

7mouths, that's great that you and your family can make a difference in those kids lives like that, thanks for telling us about such a positive story. Hope things continue to go well for you.

Cowdoc, that's interesting, I guess that's probably cheaper than replacing the clutch. They can surely find an axle somewhere without too much problem.

On a positive note the boss asked me a while ago if that truck needed anything else so I say "Yessir it needs brake shoes and a throttle sensor". He says I'll call and get him to do that while it's there. Now I won't have to shift that truck like a Maxidyne. It was taking forever to fall back.

Ehhh 7MTF is just putting a down payment on the future of his trucking co. He will have dispatch, sales, accounting, drivers & never have to hire from outside the family as his fleet expands. ;)

I am only kidding & man that is awesome of you & yours to help those two kids in the way that you are. We all know most would just shake their head & point the finger at the parents, but this is something that will truly make a difference.

7MTF, Congratulations on the additions to your family. You are making an impact on those children that cannot be replaced.
Good on you and yours for taking the opportunity to help out those kids.
You are surely onr of the good guys.

I guess I should have posted here earlier as I took what seemed like one full rainy Sunday to read this whole topic from the start.
I am a company driver, not an O/O, as I suspect most of you are.
It is a learning experience to read your posts.
    Thanks
    MO

Welcome to the thread, MO. Company driver or o/o, it doesn't really matter here.

Just rember if your truck wont move cause you think something is broken lock the power divider. If something in a rearend or a axle is broken this will tell ya. If it still dont move then start with the clutch,
