marten transport

going to orient. next tues the 14th if u listen to all the horse s--- on this site u wont make it any where there a lot of cry babies on here that wont be happy any where they go so u have to make ur on decision its all in what u make it i ve talked to alot of marten drivers and they pretty much all like drving for marten.

 

Good luck tkcowboy. Going to Atlanta? You will be in one of the last classes there. They should be moving to the new term end of the month. You going OTR or Fla reg?

Yep we will see. Been here 9 mos and it's one of the best jobs I have every had.

 

Use to be a good company... Well now they are just a big rip off and liars. I've been driving for 20 yrs now and this is a first for me on this one.. through the years I have worked for several outfits and quit a few... Well when I quit Marten, I was home on time off and decided to just launch out and buy my own truck. So I cleaned out the truck and took it back over to the yard where I picked it up and checked in all the equipment that was issued to me. Got a signed affidavit stating the truck was turned in and in good condition. I even detailed out the truck so that it was actually cleaner than when I got it.
So what does Marten do ... They put on my DAK that I abandoned the truck and charged me $700.00 for a truck retrieval fee....
Boy if Old Man Marten was still alive he would walk through that terminal in Mondovi and fire a whole heap of you idiots up there...
Try to blackball me for trying to do better for myself... shoot I dont need Marten.. But my attorney says he is fixin to have a big lunch!!!!
So if your planning on going to work for these crooks you better watch your assets....cause they will sure take them...

 

yes i am going to atlanta will make it the best i can its got to beat this local crap ready to get back out on the road going fla regional not otr done with all that 4,5,6.and 8 wks on the road stuff. keep moving closer and closer to my own rig but probably another 1 or 1.5 yrs yet.

 

this so sad how a trucking company can be so mean to drivers who want to do better , its really suprises me they are still able to hire drivers to work for them, of all the drivers that i read about on here how marten done them worng this takes the cake i hope u are doing well now benham. good luck

Capt Chaos speaks the truth about running away from carriers that don't take care of their equipment. They will take you down with them. I'm SO glad to be gone from USA truck, their landing gear was as hard to crank down in the air than some fully loaded trailers to crank up, all rust, no grease. I had to drive from the west coast to the VB terminal to get my a/c fixed, too cheap to send me to International where it was probably still on warranty.

Be sure and mention their Driver Number so they can collect the recruiting bonus. Now here's what I have to say; the truth is, everybody with Marten gets 4000 miles per week, except Kabar only gets 3500 because he is a slacker that spends too much time on this site and not enough time driving. The Marten trucks all have gold plated gear shift knobs, and every terminal has a topless receptionist. And every good thing you have ever heard about Marten is true, and anything negative is just horse s---. Now you be sure and put my name in for that recruiting bonus, y'hear?
